This piece of artwork is a self portrait designed in the style of Shepherd Fairey. I used a picture of myself to trace with the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator. I used different colors to create dimension within my face. I also used the rectangle tool to split the artwork in half to create a half color design. I created my own flower design and copy and pasted it in red on one half and black on the other half. My word for this piece was “Inspire.” I thought that was a good word to choose because everyone is inspired by different things. I think the most successful thing about this design is the use of color on the face.
